Manila – The E-Lotto test run of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) web-based application betting platform was unveiled on Friday.
The PCSO is gearing up for the launch of its much-awaited e-Lotto platform, and to celebrate this occasion, a press conference will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Richmonde Hotel, Z1 San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas, Pasig City, specifically in the 3rd Floor Syquia, Redwood, Sycamore Rooms.
The E-Lotto is a digital take on classic lottery games, designed to give Filipinos a modern, safe, and easily accessible gaming experience. “E-Lotto is a significant milestone for PCSO as we embrace the digital era and cater to the evolving needs of our players,” PCSO General Manager Mel Robles told reporters in a press conference held in Pasig City.
Players can place bets online and get paid electronically for their profits during the year-long dry run.
“With E-Lotto, players can now conveniently place bets, choose their lucky numbers, and win exciting cash prizes from the comfort of their own homes,” Robles said.
According to him, providing players with ease, security, and transparency is an E-Lotto test run goal. The ease of use of the internet platform will draw in more players from both domestic and foreign markets, increasing revenue for charity endeavors that will ultimately improve the lives of millions of people in the country.
One of E-Lotto’s main benefits is its capacity to stop the spread of illegal online number games and guarantee that money is sent to the government, advancing the development of the country.
Via the PCSO website (www.PCSO.gov.ph), players can access E-Lotto by scanning the given QR code and completing the registration process.
E-Lotto Test Run App
The E-Lotto app will be available on the Google Play and iOS stores starting next year.
Gcash is one of the payment options available, and talks to add other third-party gateway payments like banks and e-wallets are in progress.
It is extremely difficult for minors to get around the system because of the several layers of identity verification that the registration procedure produces.
If the player is found to have made any false statements, the system has the ability to suspend and permanently block an account.
Pacific Online Systems Corporation (POSC), a company with 27 years of experience in the lottery industry, signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the country’s one-year E-Lotto test run on August 30.
Of the three advocates, POSC possesses the capacity, easily obtainable systems, and adherence to the necessary technical specifications.
POSC will only serve as the exclusive agent for the duration of the one-year trial run.
“Handog Pakabog”
In the meantime, PCSO has increased the minimum guaranteed jackpot prizes for its Grand Lotto 6/55 and Ultra Lotto 6/58 games to PHP500 million each, meaning that lucky bettors might win more than PHP1 billion in total.
Robles announced that the high-stakes games, which they called “Handog Pakabog” Christmas draws, will begin on Saturday, December 16.
According to him, the payouts are different from those of the other lottery games, such as 6/49, which as of Thursday has a jackpot value of PHP 268,902,813.00, and 6/45 and 6/42, which have their own minimum jackpot prizes in millions of pesos.
“This is our way of showing our appreciation to our loyal patrons. Starting Dec. 16, the Grand Lotto 6/55 and Ultra Lotto 6/58 will have a minimum guaranteed jackpot prize of PHP500 million each, or more than PHP1 billion in combined prizes,” Robles noted.
However, he stated that the lotto tickets for the “Handog Pakabog” will still only cost PHP20 apiece, even with the enormous jackpot rewards.
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday is when the Grand Lotto is drawn; every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday is when the Ultra Lotto is drawn.
A portion of the day’s sales, equal to 22% of the total, will be contributed to the prize fund for any draw that ends in a tie.
Robles invites everyone to sponsor lotto games and place bets; the proceeds from these games would go toward the agency’s charitable fund.
